SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the State of North Carolina is revising their Public Water System Supervision (PWSS) program to meet the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources has adopted drinking water regulations for the Public Notification Rule. EPA has determined that these revisions are no less stringent than the corresponding federal regulations. Therefore, EPA intends to approve North Carolina’s PWSS program for this rule. DATES: All interested parties may request a public hearing and/or submit comments within thirty (30) days of the Federal Register publication date to the Regional Administrator at the address shown below. Frivolous or insubstantial requests for a public hearing may be denied by the Regional Administrator. SUMMARY: This notice announces that on January 28, 2008, the 
Environmental Appeals Board (EAB) of the EPA denied a petition for

    The IEPA, acting under authority of a PSD delegation agreement, 
issued a PSD permit to the Christian County Generation LLC on June 5, 
2007, granting approval to construct a 630 MW coal-fired Integrated 
Gasification Combined Cycle power plant in Christian County, Illinois. 
The Sierra Club filed a petition for review with the EAB on July 9, 
2007. The EAB denied the petition on January 28, 2008.
