SUMMARY: The Department of the
Treasury, as part of its continuing effort
to reduce paperwork and respondent
burden, invites the general public and
other Federal agencies to take this
opportunity to comment on proposed
and/or continuing information
collections, as required by the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995,
Public Law 104–13 (44 U.S.C.
3506(c)(2)(A)). Currently, the IRS is
soliciting comments concerning Form

Abstract: Internal Revenue Code
Section 6031 and Regulation section
1.6031–1 requires partnerships to file a
return. Internal Revenue Code sections
771–777, enacted by the Taxpayer Relief
Act of 1997, allow large partnerships to
elect to file a simplified return which
requires fewer items to be reported to
partners. Form 1065–B is used for this
purpose.
Current Actions: There are no changes
being made to the form at this time.
Type of Review: Extension of a
currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Business or other forprofit organizations and farms.

veteran but not paid prior to the
veteran’s death. Each survivor claiming
a share of the accrued benefits must
complete a separate VA Form 21–601;
however if there is no living survivors
who are entitled on the basis of
relationship, accrued benefits may be
payable as reimbursement to the person
or persons who bore the expenses of the
veteran’s last illness and burial
expenses.
An agency may not conduct or
