PURPOSE(S):
A Web based system which provides
for the collection, processing, and
reporting of salary offsets for DoD
employees who have incurred
delinquent debts with non-DoD entities.
It will centralize the management of the
salary offset process established by the
Debt Collection Improvement Act of
1996 for debts owed to the Federal
Government by individuals receiving a
federal salary.
ROUTINE USES OF RECORDS MAINTAINED IN THE
SYSTEM, INCLUDING CATEGORIES OF USERS AND
THE PURPOSES OF SUCH USES:
In addition to those disclosures
generally permitted under 5 U.S.C.
552a(b) of the Privacy Act, these records
or information contained therein may
specifically be disclosed outside the
DoD as a routine use pursuant to 5
U.S.C. 552a(b)(3) as follows:
To individuals authorized to act as a
guardian, trustee, or other legal
representative of an Active, Reserve,
National Guard, or Retired military
member, or civilian employee.
To Department of Health and Human
Services, Department of Energy,
Department of Veterans Affairs, the
