Truman Building, 2201 C Street, NW., Washington, DC. The meeting will last until approximately 12 p.m. and is open to the public. The agenda for the committee meeting will include a summary of the work of the Fine Arts Office since its last meeting on April 20, 2007 and the announcement of gifts and loans of furnishings as well as financial contributions from January 1, 2007 through September 30, 2007. Public access to the Department of State is strictly controlled and space is limited. Members of the public wishing to take part in the meeting should telephone the Fine Arts Office at (202) 647–1990 or send an e-mail to Craighillmf@state.gov by November 12 to make arrangements to enter the building. E7–22140 Filed 11–9–07; 8:45 am] BILLING CODE 4710–07–P DEPARTMENT OF STATE [Public Notice 5967] U.S. Department of State Advisory Committee on Private International Law: Public Meeting on the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Draft Legislative Guide on Secured Transactions and its Treatment of Security Rights in Intellectual Property (IP) The Department of State Advisory Committee on Private International Law (ACPIL) will hold a public meeting to discuss the treatment of IP secured financing practices in the UNCITRAL Draft Legislative Guide on Secured Transactions (Guide). At the 40th Session of the UNCITRAL (held June 25 through July 12, 2007), the Commission adopted a portion of the draft Guide, and scheduled adoption of the remaining portion for a second meeting of the Commission to take place in Vienna, Austria December 10–14, 2007. The Commission at its July 2007 session adopted recommendations dealing with the scope of the draft Guide as it relates to IP law and secured financing, as well as the inclusion in the commentary to the Guide of explanatory statements on the treatment of IP as secured financing. The Commission also tentatively approved a new work project on IP law matters as they relate to secured financing law, which would be initiated after conclusion of the Guide in its present scope. The first meeting on the new IP related project may occur in the spring of 2008. A top priority for the resumed Session is final adoption of the revised commentary and draft Guide. The ACPIL will use this public meeting to exchange thoughts on the draft Guide as it relates to IP secured financing PO 00000 Frm 00079 Fmt 4703 Sfmt 4703 63951 matters with a view to determining what areas would need to be addressed in UNCITRAL’s second phase of work.
