SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
purpose of the work session is to review
information in the Council’s September
meeting briefing book related to salmon
management, and to develop comments
and recommendations for consideration
at the September Council meeting.
Although non-emergency issues not
contained in the meeting agenda may
come before the SAS for discussion,
those issues may not be the subject of
formal SAS action during this meeting.
SAS action will be restricted to those
issues specifically listed in this notice
and any issues arising after publication
of this notice that require emergency
action under section 305(c) of the
Magnuson-Stevens Fishery
Conservation and Management Act,
provided the public has been notified of
the SAS’s intent to take final action to
address the emergency.
Special Accommodations
This meeting is physically accessible
to people with disabilities. Requests for
sign language interpretation or other
auxiliary aids should be directed to Ms.
Carolyn Porter at (503) 820–2280 at least
5 days prior to the meeting date.

ACTION: Amendment to Notice of
Availability of Funds
AGENCY:
SUMMARY: On July 23, 2007, the National
Telecommunications and Information
Administration (NTIA) published a
Notice of Availability of Funds in the
Federal Register, 72 Fed. Reg. 40120, for
the Public Safety Interoperable
Communications (PSIC) Grant Program.
On August 3, 2007, the President signed
into law the Improving Emergency
Communications Act of 2007, Pub. L.
No. 110-53, which amended Section
3006 of the Deficit Reduction Act of
2005 that authorized the PSIC Grant
Program. This Notice provides
amendments to PSIC Grant Program
Notice of Availability of Funds.
DATES: This amendment to the Final
Rule takes effect immediately. Each
State and Territory continues to be
required to submit its application and
narrative no later than 11:59 p.m. on
August 22, 2007. Each State and
Territory, however, will now be
required to submit its Statewide
Communications Interoperability Plans
and Investment Justification under the
PSIC Grant Program no later than
December 3, 2007.
