Description of Request: The Merced Irrigation District (MID) is seeking authorization to construct a 1.8 megawatt (MW) energy recovery turbine-generator unit at its Mc Swain Development. The proposed unit would have a maximum capacity of 500 cubic feet per second (cfs), and would be enclosed in a new 28-foot-wide by 60 foot long, below-ground concrete building that would adjoin the north wall of the existing powerhouse. MID is proposing to install a new 50 foot long, 96 inch diameter steel pipe penstock that would connect the unit with the existing bypass. All construction work is proposed to be within the project boundary on land owned by the licensee. The proposed amendment would increase the authorized installed capacity of the project from 103.5 MW to 105.3 MW. l. conditions of Transco's FERC Gas Tariff to the extent necessary to: (i)
