Abstract: Revenue Procedure 2004–45 provides guidance to certain taxpayers in order to obtain an automatic extension of time to make an allocation of the generation-skipping transfer tax exemption. Rather than requesting a private letter ruling, the taxpayer may file certain documents directly with the Cincinnati Service Center to obtain relief. Current Actions: There are no changes being made to the revenue procedure at this time. Type of Review: Extension of a currently approved collection. Affected Public: Business or other forprofit organizations. Estimated Number of Respondents: 50. Estimated Annual Average Time per Respondent: 7 hour.
