SUMMARY: The Department of the
Treasury, as part of its continuing effort
to reduce paperwork and respondent
burden, invites the general public and
other Federal agencies to take this
opportunity to comment on proposed
and/or continuing information
collections, as required by the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995,
Public Law 104–13 (44 U.S.C.
3506(c)(2)(A)). Currently, the IRS is
soliciting comments concerning
Revenue Procedure 2004–45, Relief
from Late GST Allocation.
DATES: Written comments should be
received on or before October 9, 2007 to
be assured of consideration.

Title: Relief from Late GST Allocation.
OMB Number: 1545–1895.
Revenue Procedure Number: Revenue
Procedure 2004–45.
Abstract: Revenue Procedure 2004–45
provides guidance to certain taxpayers
in order to obtain an automatic
extension of time to make an allocation
of the generation-skipping transfer tax
exemption. Rather than requesting a
private letter ruling, the taxpayer may
file certain documents directly with the
Cincinnati Service Center to obtain
relief.
Current Actions: There are no changes
being made to the revenue procedure at
this time.
Type of Review: Extension of a
currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Business or other forprofit organizations.
Estimated Number of Respondents:
50.
Estimated Annual Average Time per
Respondent: 7 hour.
