    The permittee requests an amendment to take (collect tissue 
samples) the Pacific hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricate) in 
conjunction with scientific research on the islands of Maui, Moloka'i, 
and Hawai'i in the State of Hawaii for the purpose of enhancing its 
survival.
