SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The notice
of a major disaster declaration for the
State of Kansas is hereby amended to
include the Hazard Mitigation Grant
Program for the following areas among
those areas determined to have been
adversely affected by the catastrophe
declared a major disaster by the
President in his declaration of July 2,
2007.
Labette County for Individual Assistance.
Allen, Cowley, and Linn Counties for
Individual Assistance (already designated for
emergency protective measures [Category B],
limited to direct Federal assistance under the
Public Assistance program.)
All counties within the State of Kansas are
eligible to apply for assistance under the

SUMMARY: The proposed information
collection requirement described below
has been submitted to the Office of
Management and Budget (OMB) for
review, as required by the Paperwork
Reduction Act. The Department is
soliciting public comments on the
subject proposal.
Residents residing in the public
housing and Section 8 voucher
programs will submit a HUD approval
certification form that attest that the
individual is a victim of abuse and that
the incidences of abuse are bona fide.
Without the certification, a PHA or
owner may terminate assistance. The
information provided to the PHA and
owner is confidential.
DATES: Comments Due Date: August 24,
2007.

Department of Housing and Urban

necessary for the proper performance of
the functions of the agency, including
whether the information will have
practical utility; (2) Evaluate the
accuracy of the agency’s estimate of the
burden of the proposed collection of
