The purpose of the public scoping
process is to determine relevant issues
that will influence the scope of the
environmental analysis, including
concerns, or proposed alternatives that
should be considered. Please note that
public comments and information
submitted, including names, addresses,
and email addresses of the respondents
will be available for public review at the
Las Vegas Field Office during regular
business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15
p.m., Monday through Friday, except
holidays. Before including your address,
phone number, e-mail address, or other
personal identifying information in your
comments, you should be aware that
your entire comment—including your
personal identifying information—may
be publicly available at any time. While
you can ask us in your comment to
withhold your personal identifying
information from public review, we
cannot guarantee that we be able to do
so.
BLM will notify the public through
local news media and the BLM website
when the draft plan amendment and the
EA will be available for public
comment. Preliminary issues and
concerns have been identified by BLM
personnel, other agencies, and
individuals. Disciplines involved in the
planning process will include
specialists with expertise in wildlife
management, minerals and geology,
outdoor recreation, archaeology, lands
and realty, and botany. The alternative
to the proposed action will be the No
Action Alternative (keeping the existing
BLM Utility Corridor).
Planning documents, environmental
information, and other associated
information are available for public
review at the Las Vegas Field Office
during regular business hours from 7:30
a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through
Friday, except holidays.

SUMMARY: The Bureau of Land
Management (BLM) will file the plat of
survey of the lands described below in
the BLM Montana State Office, Billings,
Montana, (30) days from the date of
publication in the Federal Register≤.

survey of the meanders of the present
left bank of the Big Horn River, through
section 18 and a portion of section 19,
the medial lines of certain relicted
channels of the Big Horn River, through
sections 18 and 19, and an island (Tract
No. 37), Township 5 South, Range 32
East, Principal Meridian, Montana, was
accepted May 10, 2007.
We will place a copy of the plat, in
1 sheet, and related field notes we
described in the open files. They will be
available to the public as a matter of
information.
If BLM receives a protest against this
survey, as shown on this plat, in 1 sheet,
prior to the date of the official filing, we
will stay the filing pending our
consideration of the protest.
We will not officially file this plat, in
1 sheet, until the day after we have
accepted or dismissed all protests and
they have become final, including
decisions or appeals.
