AGENCY: SUMMARY: This notice announces the availability of EPA’s Reregistration VerDate Aug<31>2005 18:32 May 22, 2007 Jkt 211001 Eligibility Decision (RED) for the pesticide aliphatic esters, and opens a public comment period on this document. The Agency’s risk assessments and other related documents also are available in the aliphatic esters Docket. The aliphatic esters case contains six active ingredients, but only one active ingredient, the methyl esters of fatty acids, is registered and in only one product. The methyl esters of fatty acids are used as a pinching agent and applied as a foliar spray on ornamentals kept inside and outside of greenhouses. EPA has reviewed the aliphatic esters through a modified public participation process that the Agency uses to involve the public in developing pesticide reregistration decisions. Through this process, EPA is ensuring that all pesticides meet current health and safety standards. DATES: Comments must be received on or before June 22, 2007.
