be heard. Requests to appear at the
public hearing should be filed with the
Secretary no later than 5:15 p.m., May
24, 2007. Any pre-hearing briefs or
statements should be filed no later than
5:15 p.m., May 24, 2007, and any posthearing briefs or statements should be
filed no later than 5:15 p.m., June 21,
2007; all such briefs and statements
must be submitted in accordance with
the requirements below under ‘‘written
submissions.’’ In the event that, as of the
close of business on May 24, 2007, no
witnesses are scheduled to appear at the
hearing, the hearing will be canceled.
Any person interested in attending the
hearing as an observer or nonparticipant
may call the Secretary to the
Commission (202–205–2000) after May
24, 2007 for information concerning
whether the hearing will be held.
Written Submissions: In lieu of or in
addition to participating in the hearing,
interested parties are invited to submit
written statements concerning the
matters to be addressed by the
Commission in its report on this
investigation. Submissions should be
addressed to the Secretary. To be
assured of consideration by the
Commission, written statements related
to the Commission’s report should be
submitted to the Commission at the
earliest practical date and should be
received no later than 5:15 p.m., June
21, 2007.
All written submissions must conform
with the provisions of section 201.8 of
the Commission’s Rules of Practice and
Procedure (19 CFR 201.8). Section 201.8
of the rules requires that a signed
original (or copy designated as an
original) and fourteen (14) copies of
each document be filed. In the event
that confidential treatment of the
document is requested, at least four (4)
additional copies must be filed, in
which the confidential business
information must be deleted (see the
following paragraph for further
information regarding confidential
business information). The
Commission’s rules do not authorize
filing submissions with the Secretary by
facsimile or electronic means, except to
the extent permitted by section 201.8 of
the rules (see Handbook for Electronic
Filing Procedures, https://www.usitc.gov/
secretary/fed_reg_notices/rules/
documents/
handbook_on_electronic_filing.pdf).
Persons with questions regarding
electronic filing should contact the

Any submissions that contain
confidential business information must
also conform with the requirements of

section 201.6 of the Commission’s Rules
of Practice and Procedure (19 CFR
201.6). Section 201.6 of the rules
requires that the cover of the document
and the individual pages be clearly
marked as to whether they are the
‘‘confidential’’ or ‘‘nonconfidential’’
version, and that the confidential
business information be clearly
identified by means of brackets. All
written submissions, except for
confidential business information, will
be made available in the Office of the
Secretary to the Commission for
inspection by interested parties.
The Commission intends to prepare
only a public report in this
investigation. The report that the
Commission sends to the President and
the Congress and makes available to the
public will not contain confidential
business information. Any confidential
business information received by the
Commission in this investigation and
used in preparing the report will not be
published in a manner that would
reveal the operations of the firm
supplying the information.

21, 2007, pursuant to Section 6(a) of the
National Cooperative Research and
Production Act of 1993, 15 U.S.C. 4301
et seq. (‘‘the Act’’), AAF Association,
Inc. has filed written notifications
simultaneously with the Attorney
General and the Federal Trade
Commission disclosing changes in its
membership. The notifications were
filed for the purpose of extending the
Act’s provisions limiting the recovery of
antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages
under specified circumstances.
Specifically, Disk Stream, Inc.,
Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA; Microsoft
Corporation, Redmond, WA; and
Virorum Consulting LLP, Brighton, East
Sussex, UNITED KINGDOM have
withdrawn as parties to this venture.
No other changes have been made in
either the membership or planned
activity of the group research project.
Membership in this group research
project remains open, and AAF
Association, Inc. intends to file
additional written notifications
disclosing all changes in membership.
On March 28, 2000, AAF Association
Inc. filed its original notification
pursuant to Section 6(a) of the Act. The
Department of Justice published a notice
in the Federal Register pursuant to
Section 6(b) of the Act on June 29, 2000
(65 FR 40127).
The last notification was filed with
the Department on December 21, 2006.
A notice was published in the Federal
Register pursuant to Section 6(b) of the
Act on January 25, 2007 (72 FR 3414).
