Specifically, Equitrans proposes to replace approximately 12.65 noncontiguous miles of sixteen-inch diameter bare steel pipe with sixteeninch diameter coated steel pipe, located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Equitrans estimates the cost of construction to be $24,594,494. Equitrans states the replacement project is necessitated by the age and condition of the existing bare steel pipeline.
