ACTION: Notice.
Authority: Congress created the U.S.-China
Economic and Security Review Commission
in 2000 in the National Defense
Authorization Act (Pub. L. 106–398), as
amended by Division P of the Consolidated
Appropriations Resolution, 2003 (Pub. L.
108–7), as amended by Pub. L. 109–108
(November 22, 2005) for the purpose of
monitoring, investigating, and reporting to
the Congress on the national security
implications of the bilateral economic
relationship between the United States and
the People’s Republic of China. It is charged
with providing an annual report of its
findings and recommendations to the
Congress. The Commission is composed of
twelve Commissioners appointed by the
leaders of both parties in the U.S. House and
U.S. Senate.
SUMMARY: In compliance with the
Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995
(44 U.S.C. 3501–21), this notice
announces that the Veterans Benefits
Administration (VBA), Department of
Veterans Affairs, has submitted the
collection of information abstracted
below to the Office of Management and
Budget (OMB) for review and comment.
The PRA submission describes the
nature of the information collection and
its expected cost and burden; it includes
the actual data collection instrument.
DATE: Comments must be submitted on
or before April 13, 2007.

currently approved collection.
Abstract: Claimants complete VA
Form 21–8960 and VA Form 21–8960–
1 to certify that a child between the ages
of 18 and 23 years old is attending
school. VA uses the information
collected to determine the child’s
continued entitlement to benefits.
Benefits are discontinued if the child
marries, or no longer attending school.
An agency may not conduct or
sponsor, and a person is not required to
respond to a collection of information
unless it displays a currently valid OMB
control number. The Federal Register
Notice with a 60-day comment period
soliciting comments on this collection
of information was published on
November 28, 2006 at page 68911.
Affected Public: Individuals or
households.
Estimated Annual Burden: 11,667
hours.
Estimated Average Burden per
Respondent: 10 minutes.
