This support system is designed to create on-demand graphs and reports of grantees’ activities and accomplishments, monitor progress toward the achievement of goals and objectives, and share and synthesize information across grantees’ activities. Both quantitative and qualitative analyses can be performed. The REACH Management Information System will collect in electronic format: (a) Data needed to measure progress toward, or achievement of, newly developed performance indicators, (b) information on REACH grantees that is currently being reported in hard-copy documents. An Internet-based management information system will allow CDC to monitor, and report on, grantee activities more efficiently. Data reported to CDC through the REACH management information system will be used by CDC to identify training and technical assistance needs, monitor compliance with cooperative agreement requirements, evaluate the progress made in achieving center-specific goals, and obtain information needed to respond to Congressional and other inquiries regarding program activities and effectiveness. The annualized estimated burden is based on 40 respondents. It is estimated that they each will use the system four times a year to enter data, each data entry taking about 45 minutes. There are no costs to respondents other than their time.
