SUMMARY: The Advisory Committee on
Commercial Remote Sensing (ACCRES)
will meet March 15, 2007.
DATES AND TIMES: The meeting is
scheduled as follows: March 15, 2007, 9
a.m.–3:45 p.m. The first part of this
meeting will be closed to the public.
The public portion of the meeting will
begin at 2 p.m.

the Auditorium of the National
Association of Home Builders Building
Washington, DC. The National
Association of Home Builders Building
is located at 1201 15th Street, NW.,
Washington, DC 20005. While open to
the public, seating capacity may be
limited.
As
required by section 10(a) (2) of the
Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5
U.S.C. App. (1982), notice is hereby
given of the meeting of ACCRES.
ACCRES was established by the
Secretary of Commerce (Secretary) on
May 21, 2002, to advise the Secretary
through the Under Secretary of
Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere
on long- and short-range strategies for
the licensing of commercial remote
sensing satellite systems.

Matters To Be Considered
The first part of the meeting will be
closed to the public pursuant to section
10(d) of the Federal Advisory
Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. App. 2, as
amended by section 5(c) of the
Government in Sunshine Act, Public
Law 94–409 and in accordance with
section 552b(c)(1) of Title 5, United
States Code. Accordingly, portions of
this meeting which involve the ongoing
review and implementation of the April
2003 U.S. Commercial Remote Sensing
Space Policy and related national
security and foreign policy
considerations for NOAA’s licensing
decisions are closed to the public. These
briefings are likely to disclose matters
that are specifically authorized under
criteria established by Executive Order
12958 to be kept secret in the interest
of national defense or foreign policy and
are in fact properly classified pursuant
to such Executive Order.
All other portions of the meeting will
be open to the public. During the open
portion of the meeting, the Committee
will receive a presentation on updates of
NOAA’s licensing activities. The

SUMMARY: The Hydrographic Services
Review Panel (HSRP) was established
by the Secretary of Commerce to advise
the Under Secretary of Commerce for
Oceans and Atmosphere on matters
related to the responsibilities and
authorities set forth in section 303 of the
Hydrographic Services Improvement
Act of 1998, its amendments, and such
other appropriate matters that the Under
Secretary refers to the Panel for review
and advice.
DATE AND TIME: The meeting will be held
Wednesday, March 21, 2007, from 8
a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Thursday, March
22, 2007, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

AGENCY:

meeting will be open to the public and
public comment periods will be
scheduled at various times throughout
the meeting. These comment periods
will be part of the final agenda that will
be published before the meeting date on
the HSRP Web site listed above. Each
individual or group making a verbal
presentation will be limited to a total
time of five (5) minutes. Written
comments (at least 30 copies) should be
submitted to the DFO by March 13,
2007. Written comments received by the
DFO after March 13, 2007, will be
distributed to the HSRP, but may not be
reviewed before the meeting date.
