The petitioning group of workers is covered by a duplicate petition (TA–W– 60,835) filed on May 24, 2006 that is the subject of an ongoing investigation for which a determination has not yet been issued. The petition regarding the investigation has been deemed invalid. The petition was signed by one dislocated worker. A petition filed by workers requires three signatures. Consequently, the investigation has been terminated. Petitions have been filed with the Secretary of Labor under Section 221(a) of the Trade Act of 1974 (‘‘the Act’’) and are identified in the Appendix to this notice. Upon receipt of these petitions, the Director of the Division of Trade Adjustment Assistance, Employment and Training Administration, has instituted investigations pursuant to Section 221(a) of the Act. The purpose of each of the investigations is to determine whether the workers are eligible to apply for adjustment assistance under Title II, Chapter 2, of the Act. ACTION: Announcement of public technical workshop.

SUMMARY: The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, 
National Institute of Justice (NIJ) will hold a technical workshop in 
order to discuss, and obtain comments and technical input on, draft 
changes being considered for the NIJ standard for ballistic-resistance
