Reporting: At the end of your project period, you must submit a final performance report, including financial information, as directed by the Secretary. Performance Measures: Under the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), the Secretary has established the following three (3) measures for evaluating the overall effectiveness of the Early Reading First program: (1) The percentage of preschool age children participating in Early Reading First programs who achieve significant gains on oral language skills as measured by the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test-III, Receptive; (2) the percentage of preschool age children participating in Early Reading First programs who demonstrate age-appropriate oral language skills as measured by the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test-III, Receptive; and (3) the average number of letters that preschool age children are able to identify as measured by the Upper Case Alphabet Knowledge subtask on the PALS Pre-K assessment. All grantees must provide information on these performance measures in the annual performance report referred to in section VI.3. of this notice. VII.
