Take notice that on February 27, 2007,
the first in a series of conferences will
be held at the Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission (Commission) to examine
the state of competition in wholesale
power markets. The first conference will
be held from 9 a.m. to 4 pm (EST) at the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission,
888 First Street, NE., Washington, DC
20426, in the Commission Meeting
Room. All interested persons are invited
to attend. A further notice with a
detailed agenda will be issued in
advance of the conference.

SUMMARY: In accordance with Section
122(i) of the Comprehensive
Environmental Response,
Compensation, and Liability Act, as
amended (CERCLA), 42 U.S.C. 9622(i),
notice is hereby given of a proposed
administrative settlement for recovery of
past response costs concerning the PCB
Treatment Inc. Superfund Site located at
2100 Wyandotte Street, Kansas City,
Missouri, and 45 Ewing Street,
Wyandotte County, Kansas with the
following settling party: Cargill, Inc. The
settlement requires Cargill, Inc. to pay to
the Hazardous Substance Superfund
$47,844.97. The settlement includes a
covenant not to sue Cargill, Inc.
pursuant to Section 107(a) of CERCLA,
42 U.S.C. 9607(a). For thirty (30) days
following the date of publication of this
notice, the Agency will receive written
comments relating to the settlement.
The Agency will consider all comments
and may modify or withdraw its consent
to the settlement if comments received
disclose facts or considerations which
indicate that the settlement is
inappropriate, improper, or inadequate.
The Agency’s response to any comments
received will be available for public
inspection at the EPA Region VII office
located at 901 N. 5th Street, Kansas City,
Kansas.
DATES: Comments must be submitted on
or before February 15, 2007.
