New York: Major Disaster and Related
Determinations
This request provides a 30-day
comment period required by OIRA. The
Coast Guard has already published the
60-day notice (71 FR 57986, October 2,
2006) required by 44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2).
That notice elicited no comments.
Information Collection Request
Title: Great Lakes Pilotage.
OMB Control Number: 1625–0086.
Type of Request: Revision of a
currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Three U.S. Pilot
Associations and Individual Pilots on
the Great Lakes.
Forms: None.
Abstract: The Office of Great Lakes
Pilotage is seeking OMB’s approval to
change Great Lakes Pilotage data
collection requirements for the three
U.S. pilot associations it regulates. This
change would require submission of
data to an electronic data collection
system. This new system is identified as
the Great Lakes Electronic Pilot
Management System. This electronic
system replaces the manual paper
submissions previously used to collect
data on bridge hours, vessel delay,
detention, cancellation/movement, pilot
travel, revenues, pilot availability, and
related data. This change will ensure
that the required data is available in a
timely manner and will allow
immediate accessibility to data crucial
from both an operational and
ratemaking standpoint. Currently, this
information is being recorded manually.
Burden Estimate: The estimated
burden remains 18 hours a year.
Dated: December 15, 2006.
R. T. Hewitt,
Rear Admiral, U.S. Coast Guard, Assistant
Commandant for Command, Control,
Communications, Computers and
Information Technology.
