SUMMARY: The Department of the
Treasury, as part of its continuing effort
to reduce paperwork and respondent
burden, invites the general public and
other Federal agencies to take this

Operations.

Abstract: This regulation concerns the
election made by a related group of
controlled foreign corporations to
determine foreign base company
shipping income and qualified
investments in foreign base company
shipping operations on a related group
basis. The information required is
necessary to assure that the U.S.
shareholder correctly reports any
shipping income of its controlled
foreign corporations which is taxable to
the shareholder.

Abstract: Internal Revenue Code
section 6081 allows a reasonable
extension of time for filing any return,
declaration, statement, or other
document. Form 2758 is used by
fiduciaries, trustees, and certain other
organizations to request an extension of
time to file their returns. The
information is used to determine
whether the extension should be
granted.
Current Actions: There are no changes

Abstract: Form 1040EZ–T was
developed as a result of Notice 2006–50.
The purpose of the form is to allow
individuals that are not required to file
an individual income tax return to claim
a refund of the federal telephone excise
taxes paid. The taxes must have been
paid after February 28, 2003 and before
August 1, 2006.
This form can only be filed once.
Current Actions: There are no changes
being made to the form at this time.
