AGENCY:
SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that
the Advisory Council on Historic
Preservation (ACHP) will meet on
Thursday, November 9, 2006. The
meeting will be held in the Athens
Room of Hotel Monaco, 700 F St., NW.,
Washington, DC at 2 p.m.
The ACHP was established by the
National Historic Preservation Act of
1966 (16 U.S.C. 470 et seq.) to advise the
President and Congress on national
historic preservation policy and to
comment upon Federal, federally
assisted, and federally licensed
undertakings having an effect upon
properties listed in or eligible for
inclusion in the National Register of
Historic Places. The ACHP’s members
are the Architect of the Capitol; the
Secretaries of the Interior, Agriculture,
Defense, and Transportation; the
Administrators of the Environmental
Protection Agency and General Services
Administration; the Chairman of the
National Trust for Historic Preservation;
the President of the National Conference
of State Historic Preservation Officers; a
Governor; a Mayor; a Native American;
and eight non-Federal members
appointed by the President.
The agenda for the meeting includes
the following:

Meeting of the Codex Committee on
Food Hygiene
Office of the Under Secretary
for Food Safety, USDA.
ACTION: Notice of public meeting and
request for comments.
AGENCY:
SUMMARY: The Office of the Under
Secretary for Food Safety, U.S.
Department of Agriculture (USDA), and
the Food and Drug Administration
(FDA), U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services (HHS), are sponsoring
a public meeting on November 9, 2006.
The objective of the public meeting is to
provide information and receive public
comments on agenda items and draft
United States positions that will be
discussed at the Thirty-eighth Session of
the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene
(CCFH) of the Codex Alimentarius
Commission (Codex), which will be
held in Houston, Texas, from December
4–9, 2006. The Under Secretary for Food
Safety and FDA recognize the
importance of providing interested
parties the opportunity to obtain
background information on the 38th
Session of CCFH and to address items
on the agenda.
DATES: The public meeting is scheduled
for Thursday, November 9, 2006 from 1
p.m. to 4 p.m.
