Abstract of proposed collection: The V visa application (Form DS–3052) is used to collect information on second preference spouses and children of permanent residence for whom petitions were filed on or before December 12, 2000, and who have been waiting for three or more years for petition approval, adjustment of status, or an immigrant visa, who are applying for a nonimmigrant visa to enter the United States. The form request biographical information on the applicant and information on the immigrant petition that was filed on the applicant’s behalf. Consular officer use the information on this form to determine eligibility for V visa status. Methodology: DS–3052 is submitted to U.S. embassies and consulates overseas and is available online at https://www.travel.state.gov. The form can be filled out online and then printed.
