Funding Opportunity Description Purpose of Program: The Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language (UISFL) Program provides grants to strengthen and improve undergraduate instruction in international studies and foreign languages. Priorities: This notice contains two competitive preference priorities. In accordance with 34 CFR 75.105(b)(2)(ii), Competitive Preference Priority 1 is from the regulations for this program (34 CFR 658.35). Competitive Preference Priority 2 is from the notice of final priorities for discretionary grant programs, published in the Federal Register on October 11, 2006. Competitive Preference Priority 1: For FY 2007 this priority is a competitive preference priority. Under 34 CFR 75.105(c)(2)(i) we award an additional five points to an application that meets this priority.
