restoration, waste management, and
related activities.
Tentative Agenda
Proposed Activities for the U–233
Project at Oak Ridge National
Laboratory, Building 3019.
Public Participation: The meeting is
open to the public. Written statements
may be filed with the Board either
before or after the meeting. Individuals
who wish to make oral statements
pertaining to the agenda item should
contact Pat Halsey at the address or
telephone number listed above.
Requests must be received five days
prior to the meeting and reasonable
provision will be made to include the
presentation in the agenda. The Deputy
Designated Federal Officer is
empowered to conduct the meeting in a
fashion that will facilitate the orderly
conduct of business. Individuals

be provided a maximum of five minutes
to present their comments.

replaces these rate schedules.

Power Rates; Order Confirming and
Approving Power Rates on an Interim
Basis
Pursuant to sections 302(a) and 301(b)
of the Department of Energy
Organization Act, Public Law 95–91, the
functions of the Secretary of the Interior
and the Federal Power Commission
under section 5 of the Flood Control Act
of 1944, 16 U.S.C. 825s, relating to the
Southeastern Power Administration
(SEPA), were transferred to and vested
in the Secretary of Energy. By
Delegation Order No. 00–037.00,
effective December 6, 2001, the
Secretary of Energy delegated: (1) The
authority to develop power and
transmission rates to Southeastern’s
Administrator, (2) the authority to
confirm, approve, and place such rates
into effect on an interim basis to the
Deputy Secretary of Energy, and (3) the
authority to confirm approve, and place
into effect on a final basis, to remand or
to disapprove such rates to the Federal
Energy Regulatory Commission
(Commission). Existing DOE procedures
for public participation in power rate
adjustments (10 CFR part 903) were
published on September 18, 1985.
