ACTION:
The Department of Justice (DOJ),
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms,
and Explosives (ATF) has submitted the
following information collection request
to the Office of Management and Budget
(OMB) for review and approval in
accordance with the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1995. The proposed
information collection is published to
obtain comments from the public and
affected agencies. This proposed
information collection was previously
published in the Federal Register
Volume 71, Number 122, pages 36360–
36361 on June 26, 2006, allowing for a
60 day comment period.
The purpose of this notice is to allow
for an additional 30 days for public
comment until September 13, 2006.
This process is conducted in accordance
with 5 CFR 1320.10.
Written comments and/or suggestions
regarding the items contained in this
notice, especially the estimated public
burden and associated response time,
should be directed to The Office of
Management and Budget, Office of
Information and Regulatory Affairs,

5300.11. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms and Explosives.
(4) Affected public who will be asked
or required to respond, as well as a brief
abstract: Primary: Business or other forprofit. Other: Federal Government,
State, Local, or Tribal Government.
Abstract: ATF collects this data for the
purposes of law enforcement, fitness
qualification, congressional inquiries,
disclosure to the public in compliance
with a court order, furnishing
information to other Federal agencies,
compliance inspections, and insuring
that the requirements of the National
Firearms Act are met.
(5) An estimate of the total number of
respondents and the amount of time
estimated for an average respondent to
respond: There will be an estimated
1,500 respondents, who will complete
the form within approximately 45
minutes.
(6) An estimate of the total burden (in
hours) associated with the collection:
There are an estimated 1,125 total
burden hours associated with this
collection.

respond: There will be an estimated 50
respondents, who will take 15 minutes
per line entry and that 26 entries will be
made per year.
