The proposed information collection is published to obtain comments from the public and affected agencies. Comments are encouraged and will be accepted for ‘‘sixty days’’ until August 21, 2006. This process is conducted in accordance with 5 CFR 1320.10. The purpose of this collection is to enable ATF to ensure that persons seeking to obtain a license or permit under 18 U.S.C. chapter 40 and responsible persons of such companies are not prohibited from shipping, transporting, receiving, or possessing explosives. (5) An estimate of the total number of respondents and the amount of time estimated for an average respondent to respond: It is estimated that 10,000 respondents will complete a 1 hour and 30 minute form. (6) An estimate of the total public burden (in hours) associated with the collection: There are an estimated 15,000 annual total burden hours associated with this collection.
