Responses to the amended complaint
and the notice of investigation must be
submitted by the named respondents in
accordance with § 210.13 of the

19 CFR 201.16(d) and 210.13(a), such
responses will be considered by the
Commission if received not later than 20
days after the date of service by the
Commission of the amended complaint
and the notice of investigation.
Extensions of time for submitting
responses to the amended complaint
and the notice of investigation will not
be granted unless good cause therefor is
shown.
Failure of a respondent to file a timely
response to each allegation in the
amended complaint and in this notice
may be deemed to constitute a waiver of
the right to appear and contest the
allegations of the amended complaint
and this notice, and to authorize the
administrative law judge and the
Commission, without further notice to
the respondent, to find the facts to be as
alleged in the amended complaint and
this notice and to enter an initial
determination and a final determination
containing such findings, and may
result in the issuance of a limited
exclusion order or cease and desist
order or both directed against the
respondent.

The company plans to import small
quantities of the listed controlled
substances for the manufacture of
analytical reference standards.

No comments or objections have been
received. DEA has considered the
factors in 21 U.S.C. 823(a) and 952(a)
and determined that the registration of
Cerilliant Corporation to import the
basic class of controlled substances is
consistent with the public interest and
with United States obligations under
international treaties, conventions, or
protocols in effect on May 1, 1971, at
this time. DEA has investigated
Cerilliant Corporation to ensure that the
company’s registration is consistent
with the public interest. The
investigation has included inspection
and testing of the company’s physical
security systems, verification of the
company’s compliance with state and
local laws, and a review of the
company’s background and history.
Therefore, pursuant to 21 U.S.C. 952(a)
and 958(a), and in accordance with 21
CFR 1301.34, the above named company
is granted registration as an importer of
the basic class of controlled substances
listed.
