ACTION: Notice of public meeting. dsatterwhite on PROD1PC76 with NOTICES AGENCY: SUMMARY: The Bureau of the Census (U.S. Census Bureau) is giving notice of a meeting of the Census Advisory Committee of Professional Associations. The Committee will address issues regarding Census Bureau programs and activities related to their areas of expertise. Members will address policy, research, and technical issues related to 2010 Decennial Census Programs, including the American Community Survey (ACS). The Committee also will discuss several economic initiatives, as well as issues pertaining to marketing services, sample redesign issues related to 2010 demographic surveys, and research on the use of population estimates as controls in the ACS. Last minute changes to the agenda are possible, which could prevent giving advance notice of schedule adjustments. DATES: May 18–19, 2006. The Committee addresses issues regarding Census Bureau programs and activities related to their respective areas of expertise. The Committee has been established in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (Title 5, United States Code, Appendix 2, Section10(a)(b)). Grant of Authority For Subzone Status, Michelin North America, 
Inc., (Tire Distribution), Monee, Illinois

    Pursuant to its authority under the Foreign-Trade Zones Act of 
June 18, 1934, as amended (19 U.S.C. 81a-81u), the Foreign-Trade 
Zones Board (the Board) adopts the following Order:

    Whereas, the Foreign-Trade Zones Act provides for `` . . . the 
establishment . . . of foreign-trade zones in ports of entry of the 
United States, to expedite and encourage foreign commerce, and for 
other purposes,'' and authorizes the Foreign-Trade Zones Board to grant 
to qualified corporations the privilege of establishing foreign-trade 
zones in or adjacent to U.S. Customs ports of entry;
    Whereas, the Board's regulations (15 CFR part 400) provide for the 
establishment of special-purpose subzones when existing zone facilities 
cannot serve the specific use involved, and when the activity results 
in a significant public benefit and is in the public interest;
    Whereas, the Illinois International Port District, grantee of FTZ 
22, has made application to the Board for authority to establish 
special-purpose subzone status at the tire and tire accessory 
warehousing/distribution facility of Michelin North America, Inc., 
located in Monee, Illinois (FTZ Docket 15-2005, filed March 14, 2005);
    Whereas, notice inviting public comment has been given in the 
Federal Register (70 FR 14443, March 22, 2005); and,
    Whereas, the Board adopts the findings and recommendations of the 
examiner's report, and finds that the requirements of the FTZ Act and 
the Board's regulations are satisfied, and that approval of the 
application is in the public interest;
    Now, therefore, the Board hereby grants authority for subzone 
status for distribution activity involving tire and tire accessories at 
the warehousing/distribution facility of Michelin North America, Inc., 
located in Monee, Illinois (Subzone 22N), as described in the 
application and Federal Register notice, subject to the FTZ Act and the 
Board's regulations, including Sec.  400.28.
