ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

AGENCY:
SUMMARY: The Bureau of the Census
(U.S. Census Bureau) is giving notice of
a meeting of the Census Advisory
Committee of Professional Associations.
The Committee will address issues
regarding Census Bureau programs and
activities related to their areas of
expertise. Members will address policy,
research, and technical issues related to
2010 Decennial Census Programs,
including the American Community
Survey (ACS). The Committee also will
discuss several economic initiatives, as
well as issues pertaining to marketing
services, sample redesign issues related
to 2010 demographic surveys, and
research on the use of population
estimates as controls in the ACS. Last
minute changes to the agenda are
possible, which could prevent giving
advance notice of schedule adjustments.
DATES: May 18–19, 2006. On May 18,
the meeting will begin at approximately
9 a.m. and adjourn at approximately 5
p.m. On May 19, the meeting will begin
at approximately 9 a.m. and adjourn at
approximately 11:30 a.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
Census Advisory Committee of
Professional Associations is composed
of 36 members, appointed by the
Presidents of the American Economic
Association, the American Statistical
Association, and the Population
Association of America, and the
Chairperson of the Board of the
American Marketing Association. The
Committee addresses issues regarding
Census Bureau programs and activities
related to their respective areas of
expertise. The Committee has been
established in accordance with the
Federal Advisory Committee Act (Title
5, United States Code, Appendix 2,
Section10(a)(b)).
The meeting is open to the public,
and a brief period is set aside for public

comment and questions. Those persons
with extensive questions or statements
must submit them in writing, at least
three days before the meeting, to the
Committee Liaison Officer named
above. Seating is available to the public
on a first-come, first-served basis.
This meeting is physically accessible
to people with disabilities. Requests for
sign language interpretation or other
auxiliary aids should also be directed to
the Committee Liaison Officer.

distribution facility of Michelin North
America, Inc., located in Monee, Illinois

regulations, including § 400.28.

Foreign–Trade Zones Act of June 18, 1934, as
amended (19 U.S.C. 81a–81u), the Foreign–
Trade Zones Board (the Board) adopts the
following Order:
Whereas, the Foreign–Trade Zones
Act provides for ‘‘ . . . the establishment
. . . of foreign–trade zones in ports of
entry of the United States, to expedite
and encourage foreign commerce, and
for other purposes,’’ and authorizes the
Foreign–Trade Zones Board to grant to
qualified corporations the privilege of
establishing foreign–trade zones in or
adjacent to U.S. Customs ports of entry;
Whereas, the Board’s regulations (15
CFR part 400) provide for the
establishment of special–purpose
subzones when existing zone facilities
cannot serve the specific use involved,
and when the activity results in a
significant public benefit and is in the
public interest;
Whereas, the Illinois International
Port District, grantee of FTZ 22, has
made application to the Board for
authority to establish special–purpose
subzone status at the tire and tire
accessory warehousing/distribution
facility of Michelin North America, Inc.,
located in Monee, Illinois (FTZ Docket

Whereas, notice inviting public
comment has been given in the Federal

Pursuant to its authority under the
Foreign–Trade Zones Act of June 18, 1934, as
amended (19 U.S.C. 81a–81u), the Foreign–
Trade Zones Board (the Board) adopts the
following Order:
Whereas, the Cleveland–Cuyahoga
County Port Authority, grantee of
Foreign–Trade Zone 40, submitted an
application to the Board for
manufacturing authority (oil burner
units) within FTZ 40 for R.W. Beckett
Company (FTZ Docket 9–2005; filed
February 22, 2005);
Whereas, notice inviting public
comment was given in Federal Register
(70 FR 9414, February 28, 2005) and the
application has been processed
pursuant to the FTZ Act and the Board’s
regulations; and,
Whereas, the Board adopts the
findings and recommendations of the
examiner’s report, and finds that the
requirements of the FTZ Act and
Board’s regulations are satisfied, and
that the proposal is in the public
interest;
Now, therefore, the Board hereby
orders:
