According to the petitioner, the fouryear maintenance period for the remote control brake equipment is the manufacturer’s recommendation, and the four-year interval has been adopted by Transport Canada, as required maintenance interval for 26 L type Canac remote control locomotives operating in Canada. Interested parties are invited to participate in these proceedings by submitting written views, data, or comments. FRA does not anticipate scheduling a public hearing in connection with these proceedings since the facts do not appear to warrant a hearing.
