The agenda for the subject meeting shall be as follows: Wednesday, March 15, 2006—8:30 a.m. until the conclusion of business. Thursday, March 16, 2006—8:30 a.m. until the conclusion of business. The Subcommittee will review the application for a 17% power uprate for the R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant. The Subcommittee will hear presentations by and hold discussions with representatives of the NRC staff, their contractors, Constellation Energy and other interested persons regarding this matter. The Subcommittee will gather information, analyze relevant issues and facts, and formulate proposed positions and actions, as appropriate, for deliberation by the full Committee. Background Information In accordance with section 2104 of the Trade Act of 2002 (Trade Act) (19 U.S.C. 3804), on February 2, 2006, the United States Trade Representative notified the Congress of the President’s intent to initiate FTA negotiations with Korea. On February 2, 2006, the United States Trade Representative also requested the U. S. International Trade Commission (ITC) to provide advice on probable economic effects of an FTA. In addition, USTR published a notice in the Federal Register soliciting views from the public on the negotiations in general, and the TPSC will hold a public hearing on March 14, 2006.
