AGENCY: SUMMARY: The proposed information collection requirement described below will be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review, as required by the Paperwork The Department will submit the proposed information collection to OMB review, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35, as amended). This notice is soliciting comments from members of the public and affected agencies concerning the proposed collection of information to: (1) Evaluate whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information will have practical utility; (2) evaluate the accuracy of the agency’s estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information; (3) enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and (4) minimize the burden of the collection of information on those who are to respond, including through the use of appropriate automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology, e.g., permitting electronic submission of responses. AGENCY: SUMMARY: The National Park Service (NPS) is terminating preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the General Management Plan, Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Oklahoma. A Notice of Intent to prepare the EIS for the Chickasaw National Recreation Area General Management Plan was published in Vol. 67, No. 184, VerDate Aug<31>2005 14:07 Jan 27, 2006 Jkt 208001 PO 00000 Frm 00042 Fmt 4703 Sfmt 4703 The general management plan will establish the overall direction for the national recreation area, setting broad management goals for managing the area over the next 15 to 20 years. The plan was originally scoped as an EIS. However, few public comments were received in the scoping process. Although several concerns were expressed during the public scoping process, particularly on the future of the recreation area’s water resources, no issues were identified for the general management plan that have the potential for controversial impacts.
