Abstract: This regulation provides
guidance to taxpayers regarding when
gain or loss from common business
hedging transactions is recognized for
tax purposes and requires that the books
and records maintained by a taxpayer
disclose the method or methods used to
account for different types of hedging
transactions.
Current Actions: There is no change to
this existing regulation.
Type of Review: Extension of a
currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Business or other forprofit organizations.

Treasury, as part of its continuing effort
to reduce paperwork and respondent

other Federal agencies to take this
opportunity to comment on proposed
and/or continuing information

Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995,
Public Law 104–13 (44 U.S.C.
3506(c)(2)(A)). Currently, the IRS is

Form 13614(SP) is used by screeners,
preparers, or others involved in the
return preparation process to more
accurately complete tax returns of
Spanish speaking taxpayers having low
to moderate incomes. These persons
need assistance having their returns
prepared so they can fully comply with
the law.
Current Actions: There are no changes
being made to the form at this time.
