Collection

State Court Processing Statistics, 2006.

Form Number: SCPS–06. Bureau of
Justice Statistics, Office of Justice
Programs.
(4) Affected public who will be asked
or required to respond, as well as a brief
abstract: Primary: State, Local, or Tribal
Government. Other: Not-for-profit
institutions. State Trial Courts and
Pretrial Agencies. Abstract: The SCPS
project is a recurring data collection
involving the examination of felony
cases processed in 40 large urban
counties chosen to be representative of
the 75 largest counties in the U.S.
Approximately 15,000 felony cases are
tracked for up to 1 year with data
collected on the pretrial, adjudication,
and sentencing phases of the criminal
court process.
(5) An estimate of the total number of
respondents and the amount of time
estimated for an average respondent to
respond: It is estimated that information
will be collected on a total of 15,000
felony cases from 40 responding
counties. Public reporting burden for
this collection of information is
estimated to average one hour for each
data collection form coded manually
and half an hour for each data collection
form completed through automated
downloads.
(6) An estimate of the total public
burden (in hours) associated with the
collection: The estimated public burden
associated with this collection is 13,850
hours.

continuing effort to reduce paperwork

required by the Paperwork Reduction
Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104–13, 44 U.S.C.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
I. Abstract
The Federal Automotive Statistical
Tool (FAST) Reporting of GovernmentOwned Contractor-Operated Vehicles is
an information collection required by
Executive Order 13149, ‘‘Greening the
Government through Federal Fleet and
Transportation Efficiency,’’ section 505.
This order requires Federal agencies to
ensure that all Government-owned
contractor-operated vehicles comply
with all applicable goals and other
requirements of this order and that these
goals and requirements are incorporated
into each contractor’s management
contract. This order requires the
Department of Energy (DOE) to issue
guidance to agencies and to establish

the data collection and reporting system
for collecting annual agency
performance data on meeting the goals
of the order and other applicable
statutes and policies, as stated in section
301(b).
In July 2000, the DOE prepared the
Guidance Document for Federal
agencies, as required by Executive Order
13149. Section 2–3 requires agencies to
report using DOE’s Federal Automotive
Statistical Tool (FAST). FAST is
