SUMMARY: The International
Telecommunication Advisory
Committee announces meetings to
prepare for the 2006 International
Telecommunication Union (ITU)
Plenipotentiary Conference and the
2006 ITU World Telecommunication
Development Conference.
The International Telecommunication
Advisory Committee (ITAC) will meet
on each Tuesday 2–4 p.m. during
January and February starting January
11, 2006 to prepare for the 2006 ITU
Plenipotentiary Conference. The
meetings will be held at the offices of
AT&T, 1120 20th Street, NW.,
Washington, DC. A conference bridge
will be provided. Directions to the
venue of the meeting may be obtained
from Julian Minard, minardje@state.gov.
The International Telecommunication
Advisory Committee (ITAC) will meet
on each Wednesday 2–4 p.m. during
January and February starting January
12, 2006 to prepare for the 2006 ITU
Telecommunication Development
Conference. A conference bridge will be

Overseas Schools Advisory Council
Notice of Meeting
The Overseas Schools Advisory
Council, Department of State, will hold
its Executive Committee Meeting on
Thursday, January 19, 2006, at 9:30 a.m.
in Conference Room 1105, Department
of State Building, 2201 C Street, NW.,
Washington, DC. The meeting is open to
the public.
The Overseas Schools Advisory
Council works closely with the U.S.
business community in improving those
American-sponsored schools overseas,
which are assisted by the Department of
State and which are attended by
dependents of U.S. Government families
and children of employees of U.S.
corporations and foundations abroad.
This meeting will deal with issues
related to the work and the support
provided by the Overseas Schools
Advisory Council to the Americansponsored overseas schools. The agenda
includes a review of the recent activities
of American-sponsored overseas schools
and the overseas schools regional
associations, a review of projects
selected for the 2004 and 2005
Educational Assistance Programs, which
are under development, and selection of
projects for the 2006 Educational
Assistance Program.
Members of the general public may
attend the meeting and join in the
discussion, subject to the instructions of
the Chair. Admittance of public
members will be limited to the seating
available. Access to the State
Department is controlled, and
individual building passes are required
for all attendees. Persons who plan to
attend should so advise the office of Dr.
Keith D. Miller, Department of State,
Office of Overseas Schools, Room H328,
SA–1, Washington, DC 20522–0132,
telephone 202–261–8200, prior to
January 9, 2006. Each visitor will be
asked to provide his/her date of birth
and Social Security number at the time
of registration and attendance and must
carry a valid photo ID to the meeting.
All attendees must use the C Street
entrance to the building.

Overseas Security Advisory Council
(OSAC) Meeting Notice; Closed
Meeting
The Department of State announces a
meeting of the U.S. State Department—
Overseas Security Advisory Council on
January 10 and 11, 2006 at the Boeing
Company in Arlington, Virginia.
Pursuant to section 10(d) of the Federal
Advisory Committee Act and 5 U.S.C.
552b[c][4], it has been determined that
the meeting will be closed to the public.
The meeting will focus on an
examination of corporate security
policies and procedures and will
involve extensive discussion of
proprietary commercial and financial
information that is considered
privileged and confidential. The agenda
will include updated committee reports,
a global threat overview, and other
matters relating to private sector
security policies and protective
programs and the protection of U.S.
business information overseas.
