In response to this notice, comments and suggestions should address one or more of the following points: (a) Whether the proposed information collection is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of NARA; (b) the accuracy of NARA’s estimate of the burden of the proposed information collection; (c) ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and (d) ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on respondents, including the use of information technology; and (e) whether small businesses are affected by this collection. Abstract: NARA uses volunteer resources to enhance its services to the public and to further its mission of providing ready access to essential evidence. Volunteers assist in outreach and public programs and provide technical and research support for administrative, archival, library, and curatorial staff. NARA needs a standard way to recruit volunteers and assess the qualifications of potential volunteers. The renewed license would authorize the applicant to operate the KSU Research Reactor for an additional 20-years beyond the period specified in the current license. The current license for the KSU Research Reactor expired on October 16, 2002. On September 12, 2002, and supplemented on December 22, 2004 and July 6, 2005, the Commission’s staff received an application from KSU filed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.51(a), to renew Facility License No. R–88 for the KSU Research Reactor.
