Purpose: The October 18 meeting is
the twelfth meeting of the Advisory
Panel. Due to exceptional circumstances
concerning scheduling, this Notice is
being published at this time. At this
meeting, the Panel will continue to
discuss issues associated with reform of
the tax code.
Comments: Interested parties are
invited to attend the meeting; however,
no public comments will be heard at the
meeting. Any written comments with
respect to this meeting may be mailed
to The President’s Advisory Panel on
Federal Tax Reform, 1440 New York
Avenue NW., Suite 2100, Washington,
DC 20220. All written comments will be
made available to the public.
Records: Records are being kept of
Advisory Panel proceedings and will be
available at the Internal Revenue
Service’s FOIA Reading Room at 1111

Information Reporting Program
Advisory Committee (IRPAC). The
primary purpose of the Advisory
Committee is to provide an organized
public forum for discussion of relevant
information reporting issues of mutual
concern as between Internal Revenue
Service (‘‘IRS’’) officials and
representatives of the public. Advisory
committee members convey the public’s
perception of IRS activities, advise with
respect to specific information reporting
administration issues, provide
constructive observations regarding
current or proposed IRS policies,
programs, and procedures, and propose
significant improvements in information
reporting operations and the
Information Reporting Program.
Members are comprised of a diverse
group of dedicated and talented
professionals who bring substantial
disparate experience and backgrounds
to the Committee activities. Membership
is balanced to include representation
from the taxpaying public, the tax
professional community, small and
large businesses, state tax
administrators, academics, preparers,
and the payroll community.
