ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: This notice amends the notice of a major disaster declaration 
for the State of Mississippi (FEMA-1604-DR), dated August 29, 2005, and 
related determinations.

EFFECTIVE DATE: September 21, 2005.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Federal Emergency Management Agency 
(FEMA) hereby gives notice that pursuant to the authority vested in the 
Acting Under Secretary for Emergency Preparedness and Response, 
Department of Homeland Security, under Executive Order 12148, as 
amended, Vice Admiral Thad Allen, of the United States Coast Guard is 
appointed to act as the Federal Coordinating Officer for this declared 
disaster.
    This action terminates my appointment of William L. Carwile, III as 
Federal Coordinating Officer for this disaster.
