AGENCY: SUMMARY: This notice announces the availability of EPA’s human health risk assessment and related documents for the carbamate pesticide carbofuran, and opens a public comment period on these documents. EPA is developing an Interim Reregistration Eligibility Decision (IRED) for carbofuran through the full 6–Phase public participation process that the Agency uses to involve the public in developing pesticide reregistration and tolerance reassessment decisions. Through these programs, EPA is ensuring that all pesticides meet current health and safety standards. This notice opens phase 3 of the 6–Phase process.
