SUMMARY: We, the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service (Service), are correcting
a special rule promulgated under
Section 4(d) of the Endangered Species
Act of 1973, as amended (Act), to

(Huso huso) from the permit
requirements under 50 CFR 17.32.
These corrections are not substantive.

On March
4, 2005, we, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service (Service), promulgated a special
rule (70 FR 10493) under Section 4(d) of
the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as
amended (Act), to exempt the import
and export of, and foreign and interstate
commerce in, certain products of beluga
sturgeon (Huso huso) from the permit
requirements in 50 CFR 17.32 regarding
the importation of threatened species.
Errors were introduced into the
regulatory text of the rule. We correct
these errors now for the purpose of
reinstating clarity. None of these
changes are substantive.

we correct 50 CFR 17.44 by making the
following correcting amendments:

because the allocation is projected to be
reached. This action is intended to keep
the harvest of whiting at the 2005
allocation levels.

action is authorized by regulations
implementing the Pacific Coast
Groundfish Fishery Management Plan
(FMP), which governs the groundfish
fishery off Washington, Oregon, and
California.
The regulations at 50 CFR 660.323(a)
establish separate allocations for the
catcher/processor, mothership, and
shore-based sectors of the whiting
fishery. For 2005, the 232,069 mt
commercial harvest guideline for
whiting is divided with the catcher/
