Type of Review: Extension of a currently approved collection. Abstract: Survivors of deceased veteran’s complete VA Form 21–8924 to apply for Restored Entitlement Program for Survivors (REPS) benefits. REPS benefits is payable to certain surviving spouses and children of veterans who died in service prior to August 13, 1981 or who died as of a result of a serviceconnected disability incurred or aggravated prior to August 13, 1981. An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on this collection of information was published on March 9, 2005, at pages 11732–11733. Under the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, Federal agencies are required to publish notice in the Federal Register concerning each proposed collection of information, including each proposed new collection, and allow 60 days for public comment in response to the notice. This notice solicits comments on the information needed to determine claimants’ eligibility for pension benefits. Written comments and recommendations on the proposed collection of information should be received on or before September 9, 2005.
