ACTION: Notice and request for comment.
AGENCY:
SUMMARY: The Department of the
Treasury, as part of its continuing effort
to reduce paperwork and respondent
burden, invites the general public and
other Federal agencies to comment on
proposed and continuing information
collections, as required by the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, 44
U.S.C. 3507. The Office of Thrift
Supervision within the Department of
the Treasury will submit the proposed
information collection requirement
described below to the Office of
Management and Budget (OMB) for
review, as required by the Paperwork
Reduction Act. Today, OTS is soliciting

extend this information collection.

Comments should address one or
more of the following points:
a. Whether the proposed collection of
information is necessary for the proper
performance of the functions of OTS;
b. The accuracy of OTS’s estimate of
the burden of the proposed information

c. Ways to enhance the quality,
utility, and clarity of the information to
be collected;
d. Ways to minimize the burden of the
information collection on respondents,
including through the use of

The Department of Veterans Affairs
(VA) gives notice under the Public Law
92–463 (Federal Advisory Committee
Act) that the Advisory Committee on
CARES Business Plan Studies has
changed the meeting previously
scheduled at the Municipal Auditorium,
310 East 3rd Street, Big Spring, TX
79720, on Friday, May 13, 2005, from 8
a.m. until 12 noon and from 5 p.m. until
9 p.m., to Wednesday, May 18, 2005,
from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., same location.
The meeting is open to the public.
The purpose of the Committee is to
provide advice to the Secretary of
Veterans Affairs on proposed business
plans at those VA facility sites
identified in May 2004 as requiring
further study by the Capital Asset
Realignment for Enhanced Services
(CARES) Decision document.
The agenda at each meeting will
include presentations on objectives of
the CARES project and the project’s
timeframes. Additional presentations
will focus on the VA-selected
contractor’s methodology and tools to
develop business plan options, as well
as the methodology for gathering and
evaluating stakeholder input. The
agenda will also accommodate public
commentary on site-specific issues.
