(‘‘the Act’’), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (‘‘ASME’’) has filed written notifications simultaneously with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission disclosing additions or changes to its standards development activities. The notifications were filed for the purpose of extending the Act’s provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages under specified circumstances. Specifically, since September 15, 2004, ASME has revised several consensus committee charters; has published several new standards; and has initiated several new standards development projects, all within the general nature and scope of ASME’s standards development activities, as specified in its original notification. The notifications were filed for the purpose of extending the Act’s provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages under specified circumstances. Specifically, IAB has recently completed the development of standards for: (1) Ad Measurement Guidelines Version 2.0; (2) Pop-Up Guidelines/Best Practices; and (3) Rich Media Guidelines Over-thePage Units. IAB is currently developing standards for Click-Thru Measurement. On September 17, 2004, IAB filed its original notification pursuant to section 6(a) of the Act.
