Pursuant to the Federal Advisory
Committee Act, the Department of
Health and Human Services (HHS)
announces the following advisory
committee meeting.
Name: National Committee on Vital and
Health Statistics (NCVHS), Subcommittee on
Standards and Security (SSS).
Time and Date: February 1st, 2005 9 a.m.–
5 p.m., February 2nd, 2005 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Place: Hubert H. Humphrey Building, 200
Independence Avenue, SW., Room 505A,
Washington, DC 20201.
Status: Open.
Purpose: The Subcommittee will continue
to focus on potential e-prescribing standards,
including a discussion on the use of RxNorm
in the e-prescribing context and an update
from the industry on the progress of related
workgroups (e.g., codified SIG). The
development of a draft recommendation
letter to the HHS Secretary will be discussed.
