Estimated Funds Available: An estimated $7.8 million will be available for FY 2005 awards. Anticipated Number of Awards: Approximately 200 awards will be made under the Health Professions Preparatory and Pregraduate Scholarship Programs for Indians. The awards are for 10 months in duration and the average award to a full-time student is approximately $23,000. An estimated 340 awards will be made under the Indian Health Scholarship (Professions) Program. The awards are for 12 months in duration and the average award to a full-time student is for approximately $25,000. In FY 2005, an estimated $3,410,000 is available for continuation awards, and an estimated $4,485,000 is available for new awards. Project Period—The project period will vary based on the type of scholarship for which the grantee applies.
