Take notice that on December 22, 2004, Questar Southern Trails Pipeline Company (Questar Southern Trails), 180 East 100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111, filed in Docket No. CP05–39–000 an application pursuant to section 7(b) of the Natural Gas Act for authorization to abandon, by sale, a 36-mile, 16-inch diameter portion of the West Zone of the Southern Trails pipeline, including the associated Essex delivery point to Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), located in San Bernardino County, California. Questar Southern Trails explains that the abandonment is necessary in order to provide assurance to a potential buyer that it may proceed PO 00000 Frm 00024 Fmt 4703 Sfmt 4703 to enter into a purchase agreement for the transfer of all West Zone assets as facilities removed from the Commission’s jurisdiction.
