NRS 218E.035 - Contents and service of subpoenas.


NV Rev Stat § 218E.035 (2011) What's This?

1. A subpoena is sufficient if it:

(a) States whether the proceeding is before the Senate, the Assembly or a committee;

(b) Is addressed to the witness;

(c) Requires the attendance of the witness at a time and place certain;

(d) States reasons making the testimony sought, or evidence requested, pertinent to possible future legislative action; and

(e) Is signed by the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the Assembly or the chair of the committee before whom attendance of the witness or production of evidence is desired.

2. The service of a subpoena may be made by any person over 18 years of age.
