Due to the changing structure of the electric power industry over the course of the last several years, the EIA-20 standby survey will include independent power producers in the event of an emergency, thus activating the use of the survey to provide information on the primary sources of electric power in the U.S. Please refer to the supporting statement as well as the proposed forms and instructions for more information about the purpose, who must report, when to report, where to submit, the elements to be reported, detailed instructions, provisions for confidentiality, and uses (including possible nonstatistical uses) of the information.
