Title 92 - Oklahoma State Athletic Commission
Effective 7-1-08, the name of the Oklahoma Professional Boxing Commission was changed to the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission. [See HB 3070 (2008)]
Effective 7-1-99, the "power and duty to promulgate . . . rules necessary to implement the provisions of the Oklahoma Professional Boxing Licensing Act" [3A O.S.Supp.1999, §603(A)] was transferred from the Commissioner of Labor to the newly-created Oklahoma Professional Boxing Commission. Rules promulgated by the Commissioner of Labor at OAC 380:65 prior to July 1, 1999 were considered to be the rules of the Commission until rules were promulgated by the Commission. The Commission promulgated rules in this Title 92, which became effective 6-26-00. For additional information about the transfer of rules and rulemaking authority, see 3A O.S., §§ 603 and 604.2.
