In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501-3521), the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board) invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) approval to renew a generic information collection. The Federal Register notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on the following collection of information was published on July 28, 2014 (79 FR 43709). As part of a federal government-wide effort to streamline the process for seeking feedback from the public on service delivery, the Access Board has an approved Generic Information Collection Request entitled ``Generic Clearance for the Collection of Qualitative Feedback on Agency Service Delivery.'' We, the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board), are issuing a final rule that amends the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) Accessibility Guidelines to specifically address emergency transportable housing units provided to disaster survivors by entities subject to the ADA or ABA. The final rule ensures that the emergency transportable housing units are readily accessible to and usable by disaster survivors with disabilities. The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is required to update its accessibility standards for the design, construction, and alteration of facilities (other than certain transportation facilities) by entities subject to the ADA to be consistent with the final rule. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is required to update its accessibility standards for the design, construction, and alteration of residential facilities by entities subject to the ABA to be consistent with the final rule.
